The ministry said Indian missions in the region remained in contact with citizens. “Our Missions in the region are in touch with Indian nationals and have issued appropriate advisories asking them to remain vigilant, stay in contact with the Missions, and follow local security guidance,” the MEA said. On the same day, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar held separate conversations with the foreign ministers of Iran and Israel. Jaishankar conveyed India’s deep concern over the escalating situation in the region, reiterating New Delhi’s call for restraint and diplomacy.
